Tears On My Pillow

Off-loom Dimensional Textiles - Fall 2023

This piece is made up of strips of bed sheets which I sewed together and stuffed with polymer stuffing. It is embellished with a diary entry, movie tickets, lace, and ‘tears’ which are droplets of water dyed blue. This piece represents all the times of crying on my pillow in my bedroom over boys I’ve not only liked but loved. Whether they be tears of hurt or nostalgia, I wanted this piece to showcase a certain part of girlhood.
